Freeloader began back in 2009 as an ambitious side project of Benjamin Aviotti, Nathan Raab, and Shawn Zorn. The trio, intent on targeting the very sonic heart of slacker rock, would go on to write one song, book no shows, and take approximately ten more years to rehearse, write more material, and find a suitable bassist: Clay Ayers. In 2019, their pilot 4-song EP release “Endless Bummer” hit listeners with a profane mixture of angst and send-up, and a very reasonable amount of guitar distortion.

Now they’re back, and not to be outdone, with far less material than their last release. On June 18, disaffected hipsters everywhere will get another two minutes (roughly) of send-up and reasonably distorted guitar. There is one very gratuitous solo. We apologize for that.
